About Us

The driving school AAA Inishowen school of motoring was established in October 1995 by Instructor Denis Grant. He trained to become a driving instructor with the then chairperson of the M.S.A.I ( Motor Schools association of Ireland)Mr Thomas Harrington and done an intensive course in Tralee County Kerry,Ireland. This meant sitting an exam at the end of the course. He passed and was on his way back to Buncrana County Donegal to start his brand new Driving School,at that time there was no legal register for driving instructors just some organisation's one called The Motor Schools association of Ireland( M.S.A.I) and The Driving Instructors Register of Ireland (D.I.R) both of which Denis was a member of and could only become a member of when he passed a three part examination for each organisation. On return to Buncrana County Donegal he then started his driving school AAA Inishowen School of Motoring the name he picked and what he still trades under to-day and fast become a growing business in the driving training industry in Buncrana.

Denis  and the school proved popular with new drivers and drivers about to take their driving test in Buncrana and a lot of his work came from word of mouth and to this day this is still the case with a very good pass rate in the Driving Test, when it became compulsory for all Driving Instructors to be registered with the Road Safety Authority(R.S.A) Denis took and passed the three part exam which consisted of part one Theory Test part two Driving Test and part three Instructor ability Test. When he passed the Road Safety Authority Approved Driving Instructor (RSAadi) Test he also received a FETAC level 6 specific purpose certificate. Please note that any person who wishes to become a driving instructor must pass the three part test and MUST BE REGISTERED with the now legal body of the RSA before they can give driving lessons for reward.

Buncrana a small town in county Donegal Ireland and has a test centre in it. Denis works from the car park of super valu in the town. With many instructors now in Buncrana a wider range is available for anyone who is learning to drive or siting there driving test.Denis asks you to consider him as your first choice.Thank you
